Ecumenical Creeds

Though Reformed congregations such as ours branched off the western church in the 16th century, they received the earliest creeds of the church as faithful expressions of the biblical teaching of the Trinity as well as the the divinity and humanity of Christ. These creeds are what bind together all orthodox believers in Christ and are thus called ecumenical because they transcend ecclesiastical boundaries.

The three ecumenical creeds which we confess are as follows:

Apostles’ Creed
Nicene Creed
Athanasian Creed
